The City of Fremantle and CUSP are holding a Community Cafe Series event on Sustainable Water Management to discuss how we can all work together to better use our precious water resources.
From 4.30 – 6.30 next Thursday the 29th of January you can come and chat about water use and conservation with speakers:
• Josh Byrne – Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute; speaking on household scale integrated urban water management – the Josh’s House Story
• Greg Hales – ICLEI Water Campaign Australia; speaking on how the ICLEI milestone Water Campaign has changed the landscape of local governments’ water use
• Dr May Carter – MayC Consulting; speaking on how we use, conceptualise and understand public open space and parks from a water efficiency perspective.
In a modern world making space for nature and embedding sustainability principles in our urban planning frameworks can be a challenge – the speakers will explore creative ways to rethink our influence on the planet in the places and spaces that we inhabit.
